opening sequence (commissioned film)

MEDICXI is an immersive opening sequence created for a film exploring cancer research and the complex mechanisms of cellular life. Moving between microscopic worlds and oceanic imagery, the sequence draws a visual parallel between the invisible processes unfolding within living matter and the vast, mysterious environments found beneath the surface.

The visual approach combines extreme macro imagery, microscopic aesthetics and fluid experimentation to create a world that feels both scientifically grounded and dreamlike. Translucent membranes, cellular structures, bubbles and organic matter evolve through subtle movement and shifting light, blurring the boundaries between laboratory observation and underwater cinematography.
The result is a tactile, highly detailed visual language designed to transition seamlessly from the microscopic to the ocean.
